Petra , also known as the Rose City in Jordan, the capital city of the Nabataeans and a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1985.
A good pair of shoes is essential, as you scramble up to the monastery , & place of high sacrifice which are each a 60/90 minute climb up through the mountains.
Along the climb the Bedouin set up camps on the pathways to sell trinkets , try and find a stall selling local handicrafts rather than imported tat. The Bedouin will invite you to stop for tea , don’t rush past stop and catch your breathe a dinar for the tea is fair.
Check out my shots I took along the way …. Enjoy !!
