The Sheik Zayed Mosque is the largest, most visited attractions in the UAE , covering over 22,000 square meters.


It is the final resting place of the late visionary president of the UAE, Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, who’s buried in the courtyard of the Mosque.


The Mosque seats up to 40,000 worshipers for Friday prayers.


The Mosque has 82 marble domes and over 1,000 marble columns in its grounds.

The Mosque has the worlds largest chandeliers made up of thousands of Swarovski crystals and Italian glasswork.


Open to non muslins, with guided tours, its the best thing you can do for free in the UAE.

  2. We arrived very close to prayer time and were the last ones let in and hurried through. It was my highlight of Abu Dhabi. Your photos really capture the mosque’s majesty. Thanks for sharing them.
